GIFT SHOPPE
POLICIES
- MCAC members only
- Original artwork or prints of “your”
original artwork
- Artist completes inventory sheet – title,
description, price, item ID
- Artwork and completed inventory sheet are
to be placed in the art room (right hand side)
until approved.
- Approval of the Art Advisory
Committee
- MCAC retains 25% on items
sold.
- After one year of display in the Gift
Shop, art must be replaced with new
artwork.
- Space availability
- Artwork may be rotated to recreate
interest
- Artwork will be displayed by Gift Shop
Manager only; exceptions will be removed and
disqualified.
Artwork exhibited in the gallery may not be
entered in the Gift Shop until one calendar year
has expired.
Artwork should be presented in a
professional way. For the
Gift Shop, two-dimensional work does not have to
be framed.
Items should be mounted and wrapped for
their protection. Portfolios
are suggested for display purposes.
Each item must be priced and coded by the
artist.
MCAC will pay the artist for items sold on
a monthly basis by check from the MCAC
Treasurer.
When removing artwork from the Gift Shop,
you will need to sign out the artwork from the
Gift Shop inventory sheet.
Items purchased from the Gift Shop with a
non-refundable 25% deposit will be held for 7
days.
At the end of the 7-day period if the full
purchase price has not been paid, the item will be
returned for sale in the Gift Shop. Gift Shop
items will not be released to a purchaser until
the item is paid for in full.
